As many as 121 daily wagers have been fired from municipal committee after the objection raised by the auditors, due to which cleanliness in the hometown of Bhutto leaders is sure to be badly affected, which already is almost negligent. These employees were working since 2015 and included sweepers, security guards, beldars and office workers. These employees when reached to perform their duties with the advent of New Year they were asked to go back home, as their services were no more required. After hearing this sad news suddenly in the morning they were astonished and were heart-broken. Chief Municipal Officer Murtaza Buledi told newsmen on Friday that new audit officers have arrived who have objected to the pay bills of these employees, hence they were barred from discharging their duties. He said he is on leave hence cannot offer more comments. On the other hand, President, Sindh Chapter, All Pakistan Local Government Employees Federation, Hafiz Mushtaque Ahmed Korejo said that Water Commission had ordered to remove daily wagers (Katcha employees) after which special permission was granted by Sindh Government for Larkana district but the new auditors have neglected it. He said it is likely to badly affect the cleanliness in the town which is already causing environmental pollution as heaps of garbage are lifted after 2/3 days from various localities due to acute shortage of cleanliness vehicles, garbage lifters and sanitation staff. The affected employees have urged the higher government authorities to take notice of the highhandedness as PPP is constantly claiming that it has never rendered anyone jobless.
