SIALKOT: The government has started de-silting of the seasonal ‘Nallahs’ Aik and Dek on emergency grounds for saving Sialkot region from food disasters.
It was stated by the DCO Dr Asif Tufail while chairing a meeting regarding flood protection plan 2016 prepaired by the District Disaster Management Committee here on Tuesday. The DCO said that the work is being conducted under the supervision of District Disaster Management Committee.
He told the meeting that all the concerned departments have already been put on alert to meet any flood disaster besides De-silting of seasonal Nallahs and precautionary measures were being taken on emergency basis.
